Wateridge Village Parks #2 and #8 Information Session
The City of Ottawa wants your input on the proposed design for two new parks that will be built in the Wateridge Village Community. These parks will be built over the next few years by Canada Lands Company (CLC) Limited for the City of Ottawa.
The parks will provide a range of passive and active recreation amenities for the community which will be geared for all age ranges. A Commemorative Plaza celebrating the Lt Colonel William G Barker will be the primary focus of Park # 8 whereas Park # 2 will become the primary recreational facility for soccer, tennis, skateboarding and winter skating in the community. Extensive green open space, landscaped areas and the preservation of existing trees will also be considered in the design of the parks.
By attending the information session you will be able to view the proposed plans for the parks and make suggestion on the proposed amenities.

Parks #9 and #5 Making Progress
The first two parks that will open at Wateridge Village, parks #9 and #5, continue to make great progress. Park #5, located in the heart of Wateridge Village, commemorates and celebrates Canada’s sesquicentennial, with work continuing on this special commemorative park featuring many themes dedicated to our country. Look for our official grand opening of these two new parks in the spring of 2018.
